Cornal Hendricks to WP from Cheetahs

(SuperSport) Western Province pulled off another coup on Wednesday when they signed Springbok winger Cornal Hendricks for the next two seasons.

The announcement is set to be confirmed during the day, but supersport.com can confirm they have sealed the deal for the Springbok winger to move to Cape Town from the Toyota Cheetahs after this year’s Rugby World Cup.

This signing comes a day after Province announced they had signed former Lion JC Janse van Rensburg to bolster their front row, adding to an impressive depth with Brumbies prop JP Smith joining them as well.

Hendricks has been the target of several unions over the past few months after requesting permission from the Cheetahs to negotiate a move and for a while it seemed he would be moving to Pretoria, with the Vodacom Bulls aggressively chasing his signature.
